I am a retired financial advisor and Polly is a retired veterinary technician. Our children are grown and independent. We both grew up in the countryside. Polly has cared for horses for most of her life.  At age 21 I built a small farm by hand and cleared an acre of woodland for gardens.  A milk cow, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits and geese kept me busy for ten years while I attended college. It's been a long time but  I can still milk a cow or goat by hand.

We are hard working and dependable folks.  We enjoy the outdoors and love mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and kayaking as well as fishing.  We are non-smokers and have been responsible homeowners for more than 40 years. We will provide both personal and professional references. Being retired, we are flexible as to time frames and location.

We have 2 (needy) dogs and 2 (picky) cats. Dennis and Polly took care of all four of them as if they were their own.  They sent us videos and kept us up-to-date as much as possible while we were out of the country.

They came a day or two early so we could show them the daily routines and enjoy a day exploring on their own.

Everyone was in tip-top condition when we returned home. The house was clean and the laundry was done. 

We hope they will come and stay sometime in the future. We (and the pets) would love to have them back!

Polly and Dennis are dependable and caring housesitters who, for two weeks in January 2022, took care of my apartment in Philadelphia and two cats as I traveled out of the country.

Upon my return, not only was my apartment clean and my cats healthy, Polly and Dennis left me note with a summary of their stay and a welcome home package that included some freshly baked cookies.  

I would not hesitate to have them return for future housesits.
