We met in 1997 while living on Maui, Hawaii and since then, we've chosen to live in gorgeous places only. For the past 13 years, we've enjoyed being on-site live-in managers for hotels and destination resorts in Clearwater Beach and Treasure Island, Florida, Northern California, Orcas Island, Washington and Aitutaki, Cook Islands.
Before we transitioned to resort and hotel management, we had two beloved dogs that each lived to be over twenty years old. We've also had horses and cats in addition to caring for our friends' and families' animals when they were away or unable to care for them.
In addition to kitesurfing, we enjoy kayaking, SUP paddling, biking, hiking, and trail running.
In August 2021, we resigned our positions and embarked on a kitesurfing travel adventure and started in northeast Brazil. After three months in Brazil, we spent a few months in Costa Rica and then Panama for two months before a former employer lured us back to work in the US for a year and a half. Then to Aitutaki in the Cook Islands for 6 months and now in Arizona.
We miss having pets, but our transient lifestyle makes it quite challenging to have animals of our own. Caring for your pets would be lovely as we could "have pets" again. As on-site live-in hotel and resort managers, we lived in and cared for the residences and properties as if they were our own. We loved the variety of multiple locations and experiences and would like to continue caretaking.
