ABOUT US
Meet the Bradys! Janae & I met in college and married 3 years later. Our four awesome kids are 13, 11, 5, & 2. Years ago we agreed to build a family life that would allow flexibility to experience different places and meet different people. I own & manage a title insurance company 100% remotely. Janae is a full time mom and has been homeschooling our children for over five years.
Between us all, someone loves reading, board games, playing the harp, art, video games, rapelling, & dancing. The youngest just enjoys being cute for the camera.
We love road-tripping & frequently visit different relatives, so our children are comfortable with living and sleeping in new situations. We watch out for anything that may be in danger from a toddler's curiosity (& we'd ask for your permission before moving anything if needed), but we've never had to use cabinet locks, toilet locks, or plug protectors with our children because they've all been good about leaving those things alone. We do not smoke or drink, and family life with young kids lends itself to pretty low key days of learning together.
WHY WE WANT TO HOUSESIT
We love being able to make new friends all over! Every housesit provides real life opportunities to learn about new pets and new cultures. It's exciting for our children to see each new personality that pets have and the different ways people make them part of their family. It's exciting for us parents to follow & teach each home & pet owner's instructions, showing our kids why the steps matter. We want our children to see the variety in the world: the different pets, people, and environments.
Every time we're in someone's home it also helps us see perspectives that may be different from those typical in our home neighborhood, state, or country. And hopefully this last point goes without saying it… every new pet & place is its own adventure!
EXPERIENCE
While I knew my neighbor's dogs well, I (Scott) myself had a turtle, bunny, a couple fish, and a pair of cockatiels for several years while growing up. Each morning I'd let the birds loose in the sunroom, & cage them again at night. I went through several clutches of eggs and the babies that would hatch. Currently many of our nieces & nephews have dogs, & we'd love to increase our circle of animal friends.
With regards to home care, we’ve owned a home for nine years and taken care of everything that came with it, including care for the lawn, garden, & fruit trees. Inside, whether it's replacing a toilet's float valve, installing a new outlet, or just keeping the dishes clean and put away, we're comfortable with home maintenance.

What we bring to every house assignment is attention to the details of your directions, curiosity with your pets, & excitement to see your corner of the world. At the end we will have done everything we can to leave you with a completely cleaned home, happy pets, and great memories from your carefree trip.
We bring young children with their own excitement to see a new town while getting to know and love new animals. Working and schooling from home has led the entire family to understand daily routines, so the children are used to daily chore charts & helping around the house, including cleaning bathrooms each week.
We bring nearly a decade of homeownership experience, which includes comfort with both interior maintenance & outdoor yard & garden care. For years we've enjoyed shared use of an extended family cabin which means understanding the process for respectful use of the home while there, along with the cleaning up, changing sheets, and wiping down that comes with leaving.
