Hello! I am Hilary, a clinical social worker from Tennessee, SMC (single mother by choice) to two children (ages 5 and I lost my primary income end of March and at the same time my lease came up for renewal; long story short, I decided I could let my lease expire, store our stuff, and hit the road for the summer while I work remotely--- living out a DREAM of mine to adventure, explore, and live unrestrained by convention-- WHY?? --- to build resilience in my kids, to experience different locations with all our senses, to get outside of the box.
We are hoping to travel all summer long, bringing our camping equipment and figuring a lot of it out as we go. I am on an extremely low budget; I can only do this if it doesn't cost more than what I would spend if I were renting and paying for child care at home.
Housesitting along the way, or near awesome parks and mountains and beaches and rivers and forests, would be perfection. I can work (I do telehealth- remote psychotherapy) while my kids play, read, and entertain themselves. We would LOVE to take care of your pets! What a great experience for my kids!
Despite their young ages, they are very good kids and do not destroy things (Being raised by one parent, they've had to learn to be responsible while independent); we can video chat as a family and I think you will feel at ease.
Please please please consider us for your house and pets; this would be such an amazing opportunity for us!
